Gleams of sunshine for the trenches

In response to a request from one Officer fighting at the front who wrote to The Tatler saying, We are fed up with war pictures, let us see some pretty faces, a double page spread from the magazine featuring some of the entertainers of the day. From left, Miss Sadrene Storri, a dancer on tour with The Pearl Girl, Miss Teddie Gerrard and Mr Harry Pilcer, revue artists, at that time appearing at the London Pavilion and on the right, Miss Gwendoline Brogden, musical comedy actress, appearing in The Passing Show at the Palace Theatre
