Lady Howard de Walden

Lady Howard de Walden, formerly Margherita van Raalte before her marriage, founder and President of Queen Charlotte's Ball, the highlight of the debutante season. She revived Queen Charlotte's Ball in 1925. Pictured in The Tatler in 1920. The magazine describes her as very musical and possesses a charming voice and reminds readers that she has five children. During the First World War she ran a hospital in Alexandria between 1915-16
