Lady Petre

Lady Catherine (Kitty) Petre, formerly Catherine Margaret Boscawen, wife of Lionel Goerge Carroll, 16th Baron Petre. The 16th Baron, son of the 15th Baron and Julia Mary Cavendish-Taylor. He was born 3rd November 1890 and became a Captain in the Coldstream Guards. He was wounded near Arras in the late Spring of 1915, was repatriated and died of his wounds in September leaving two children, one born posthumously. Lady Petre subsequently remarried and became Lady Rasch. She was responsible for the restoration of the Petre family seat, Ingatestone Hall, in Essex
