Making Dummy Guns at Birmingham
For bayonet practice and other aspects of training, recruits to the new army during the First World War were supplied with dummy guns, which were of the same weight and dimensions as the service rifles. Photograph shows a worker in a Birmingham factory putting the finishing touches to a dummy weapon
