Mlle. Edmee Dormeuil in the Better Ole

Edmee Dormeuil, French actress and star of The Better Ole, the musical play based on the cartoons of Bruce Bairnsfather in The Bystander. She played the part of the heroine, a vivandiere who loves Old Bill (the central character) and who eventually gives evidence that turns him from traitor to hero. The play, written by Bruce Bairnsfather and Arthur Eliot enjoyed a terrific run at the Oxford Theatre, London
