Mrs George Keppel and her daughter
Alice Keppel, mistress of King Edward VII, pictured with her debutante daughter, Violet (later Trefusis). The Tatler reports that Mrs Keppel threw a wonderfully successful ball at the beginning of the season, succeeding in getting many distinguished men to attend who were usually not seen at such functions
