Sphere cover - Clearing away wreckage at Cuffley, WW1

A scene at Cuffley, Hertfordshire after the German L-21 airship had fallen to earth in a ball of flames, having been shot down by Lieut. William Leefe Robinson VC on the night of 2 September 1916. The work of clearing the site was carried out by men of the Royal Flying Corps in very wet and stormy weather.
