Spy-scare toys, WW1
The war in the nursery - toys that feed the British suspicion of German spies. The left hand picture shows King Albert of Belgium, Sir John French, General Joffre and Admiral Jellicoe talking together around a table (unlikely!) while a German spy hides underneath. The second shows a German Fraulein being awakened by a policeman who discovers ammunition in her trunk
