Tatler cover - Prince of Wales, 1916

Front cover of The Tatler with a photograph of the Prince of Wales, later King Edward VIII and then Duke of Windsor. He served with the Grenadier Guards during the First World War, but was kept safely out of the firing line at Staff Headquarters. He also visited the Italian front. He was awarded the Military Cross for good service in the field
