Hans-Joachim Barschel (1912-1988), born: Berlin, Germany. Graphic designer. Studied art and design with Ernst Bohm and Oskar Hadank at the Berlin Hochschule. Designed exhibits for the 1936 Olympic Games in Berlin. in 1937 he emigrated to New York. Professor of Graphic Communications at Rochester Institute of Technology in New York
