Hop-o'-My-Thumb
aA poor basket-maker had seven boys. One was always smaller than the others. and was called Hop-o'-My-Thumb. He was a smart kid. Because the parents could hardly feed them, they wanted to leave the boys alone in the woods. But Hop-o'-My-Thumb had overheard his parents plotting. He filled his pockets with pebbles so that when they entered the forest, he could drop the stones and could bring his brothers back home. From a series of postcards published in Germany
