Hop-o'-My-Thumb
aThe wife of the ogre was good. The ogre had planned to eat the boys. When the ogre came home, he brought them out and took his knife to slay them. His wife pleaded with him not to kill the boys, so he put the knife down. The ogre had seven daughters who were sleeping in a bed wearing golden coronets. In the night Hop-o'-My-Thumb stole the crowns, and released the brothers. And they all fled into the woods. From a series of postcards published in Germany
