Victorian Children's Games

Jenny O Jones'. A singing game. Jenny Jones and her mother sit or stand on one side or the room. All the friends stand on the other side. The story goes that Jenny Jones mother loved her daughter so much that she wanted her to stay home and play with her instead of with her friends. So she makes up excuses for why Jenny can't play. Jenny overhears her friends singing and scolds her mother and chases her. When she catches her she makes her mother promise not to do it again and they agree to spend some time playing with friends and some time playing with her mother. There are verses and lyrics to this game
