George II and Elizaveta of Greece
King George II of the Hellenes (1890-1947) and his wife, Elisabetha (1894-1956) in the early 1920s. George was the eldest son of King Constantine I and Queen Sophie, and the elder brother of King Alexander. The couple married in 1921 and divorced in 1935. George came to the throne on his father's abdication in 1922, went into exile in 1924, returned in 1935, and was forced to leave again when the Germans invaded in 1941, returning at the end of the war. He had no children
