Grand Princess Maria Alexandrovna of Russia, later Duchess of Edinburgh (1853-1920), only daughter of Tsar Alexander II of Russia. Maria married Prince Alfred, Duke of Edinburgh in 1874 and was the mother of Queen Marie of Romania. Photographed here in Russian court dress
