Lady Alexandra and Maud Duff
The daughters of Princess Louise of Wales, Duchess of Fife, Alexandra (1891-1959) and Maud (1893-1945) perched in a rather elaborate cane carriage. It has proper springs and a handle, but the child in front would be in a precarious position if it was tipped up to move forward. After their grandfather, Edward VII's accession, Alexandra and Maud were raised to the rank of princess. Their mother became Princess Royal
