Ludwig Ernst Andreas (1931-1937) and Alexander (1933-1937) of Hesse-Darmstadt, sons of Georg Donatus, Hereditary Grand Duke of Hesse and by Rhine, and grandsons of Ernst Ludwig of Hesse. The boys were killed in a plane crash, along with their parents in 1937 on route to the wedding of their uncle's wedding
