Prince Albert Victor, Duke of Clarence and Avondale (1864 - 1892), eldest son and heir of Edward, Prince of Wales and Alexandra, Princess of Wales pictured dressed in the uniform of the Hussar's. Known as Eddy, Albert Victor was engaged to Princess May of Teck but contracted influenza and died at Sandringham on 13th January 1892 at the age of twenty-eight
