Prince Henry of Prussia with his family
Prince Henry (Heinrich) of Prussia (1862-1929) with his wife, Princess Irene of Hesse, and two sons, Prince Waldemar (1889-1945), pictured left, and Sigismund (1896-1978) during World War I. Prince Henry commanded the German Navy, and Sigismund is photographed here in naval uniform. Waldermar's haemophilia made active service impossible, but he wears the uniform of the German Volunteer Ambulance Corps
