Queen Victoria with Alexander Battenberg
Queen Victoria holding her grandson, Prince Alexander of Battenberg, later Marquess of Carisbrooke(1886-1960), eldest son of Priness Beatrice and Prince Henry of Battenberg. Queen Victoria insisted that her youngest daughter remain living with her after her marriage, and consequently, the Battenberg children grew up in their grandmother's homes
