British Red Cross Society, Duchess of Westminster's Hospital
A collection of eleven original images relating to No. 1 British Red Cross Society Hospital, more commonly known as The Duchess of Westminster's Hospital, named after its Founder. The hospital was on the French coast at Le Touquet. The Duchess of Westminster's name was Constance Edwina Cornwallis-West and her sister, Daisy, Princess of Pless, nursed in German hospitals. A notable patient of the hospital was J. R. R. Tolkien while suffering from trench fever. The collection includes an incredible image showing an X-Ray taking place. Photographs
