Ornaments - German Internees - Knockaloe Internment Camp
A pair of carved bone ornaments with raised foliate decoration with inscriptions - one saying Zur Freud (In Joy) and one saying Im Leid (In Sadness). They are both also inscribed England 1916 together with an engraved Hansa Cross. Made by German Internees at Knockaloe Internment Camp on the Isle of Man. Trench Art
