Laing Management held an open day at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in September 1992, and the proceeds were presented at the hospital's handover ceremony on 30th November. The cheque for £2530.05 was presented by Laing staff members Peter Powell and Roger Hopkins to representatives of the Riverside Health Authority. The money was to be used to buy equipment for the hospital's neo-natal unit
