Cricklade Church
St Sampson's Church, Cricklade, Wiltshire. A general view from the south. The impressive tower was built in the sixteenth century at the expense of John Dudley, Duke of Northumberland, beheaded by Mary I in 1553 for his involvement in the Lady Jane Grey plot. Photographed by Henry Taunt in 1883
