The mill engineer adding oil to Princess, the beam engine at Jesse Shirleys Bone and Flint Mill (Etruscan Mills) The mill was constructed by Jesse Shirley in 1856. It was used to crush flint and bone which was added to clay to provide the raw material for the production of earthenware goods. It is now home to the Etruria Industrial Museum
