A general view of Rothley Castle, a folly built

A general view of Rothley Castle, a folly built by Daniel Garret c1755, consisting of a large central tower and two smaller end towers, with a screen wall on the west. The castle was built with random rubble, by Daniel Garrett for Sir Walter Blackett. It has a roofless two storey central tower, with arched niches and cruciform slits. To the right is one of the two end towers, with a partial screen wall separating them, with five cruciform slits. These towers have three walls with arched niches, and an open wall facing he interior of the castle site. All of the towers have similar corbels
