The German Gymnasium was built in 1864-65 to the designs of Edward Gruning for the German Gymnastic Society. It was originally accessed via a door in the centre of the terrace at 22-30 Pancras Road. In the 21st century, redevelopment of the area surrounding King's Cross included the demolition of this terrace and the front of the gymnasium. It is Grade II Listed.
