A safety week was held at the Isle of Grain Power Station in the week commencing Monday 12th May 1975. The event was jointly organised by the five main contractors on the site and the Central Electricity Generating Board. The week included the presentation of safety films, exhibition stands and safety demonstrations. At set times each day, the site rescue team also demonstrated the rescue of a trapped person overcome by fumes at a great height
