An interior view of Christ Church, showing the aisled nave and looking towards the east window, built 1823-25 by R. D. Chantrell, and demolished c1972. The church had an aisled nave with box pews throughout, the arcade supported by slim polygonal iron piers, and a wooden screen surrounding the north-eastern corner. The chancel is not separated from the nave, but is raised on two small steps
