An article published in August 1979 in Laing's monthly newsletter Team Spirit describes that there was an It's a Knockout competition on the afternoon of the gala day, won by Laing's Mill Hill team. It's a Knockout was a popular television outdoor game show, broadcast between the mid-1960s and the 1980s, involving teams competing against each other on obstacle courses and other challenges
