Laing's Manchester Region had contracts to build 1200 homes for the County Borough of Stockport. At Lancashire Hill, they had previously built two 22-storey blocks of flats using Storiform, providing 198 homes, and the construction site shown in this photo was where six linked blocks of four to eight storeys were to be built using Laing's 12M Jespersen system
