Military hospitals: Roehampton
Queen Mary's Hospital, Roehampton, London. Ward 2 in Shanghai Hut No. 3 at showing nurses and wounded servicemen with missing limbs wearing their convalescent uniforms. Queen Mary's Hospital was established in 1915 for servicemen who had lost limbs during action in the First World War. Several thousand amputees were rehabilitated at the hospital with many of the patients receiving prosthetic limbs
