The timber frame of a Tudor building rediscovered during the demolition of Moundsley Hall - In 1939 it was decided to demolish the Victorian Moundsley Hall and replace it with a new building. Demolition revealed the timber frame of a Tudor building, believed to date from the early 16th century, which had been encased in brick during the 19th century when Moundsley Hall was rebuilt
