Shadwell Quarry
Shadwell Quarry, near Much Wenlock, Shropshire. The basin of the quarry has filled with water and the limestone quarried here has helped to give this a rich blue colour. The limestone from the quarries in this area have been used for roadstone, building, smelting flux and lime. Photographed in April 2002
