The south elevation of Compton Wynyates manor
The south elevation of Compton Wynyates manor house viewed from across formal gardens Compton Wynyates dates from around 1500, and incorporates parts of an earlier house. The gardens, topiary, and lawns were laid out in 1895 during restoration of the house following a period of neglect. This work also included filling in the moat, except for the section to the north of the house
