Southwell Minster
Southwell Minster, Nottinghamshire. The west front of St Mary the Virgin Minster as seen from the gateway. The minster was established by Archbishop Oskytel of York in 956 AD but the present building dates from circa 1120. The church was granted cathedral status in 1884.
