Victorian drawing room
Bidston Court, Birkenhead. Victorian interior of the drawing room looking towards the windows and fireplace. Bidston Court was built in 1891 by the Liverpool architects Grayson and Ould. The drawing room is formally decorated, with Gothic windows, Tudor platerwork, Morris wallpaper and fabrics and Georgian-style furniture. The house was demolished in 1931 and rebuilt as Hillbark in Roydon Park, Wirral, Merseyside. Photographed in July 1894 by H Bedford Lemere
