Walton Windmill, Walton-on-The-Naze, Frinton and Walton
A Thames sailing barge moored beside the post mill on the Saltings at Walton-on-the-Naze
The windmill, which worked alongside the nearby tide mill (see BB80/00551), was used to grind cereal which was then transported to market by boat. In this photograph the mill is shown in a dilapidated condition. The mill was demolished in 1921 to make way for the clubhouse of the a newly formed yacht club
