25, 000 to 35, 000 members of the Ku Klux Klan march
25, 000 to 35, 000 members of the Ku Klux Klan march down Pennsylvania Avenue on August 8, 1925. The big parade was organized to counter reports of faltering enrollment. While they attracted national attention their decline continued until they disappeared from view in 1930. (BSLOC_2015_16_183)
