Artist Anna Wyeth Hurd, talking with her husband
Artist Anna Wyeth Hurd, talking with her husband, painter Peter Hurd, Jan 12, 1967. Behind them is Peter Hurd's portrait of President Lyndon Johnson, commissioned by the White House Historical Association, but rejected by LBJ, as the ugliest thing I ever saw. Anna Wyeth Hurd was the sister of Andrew Wyeth and a prominent painter. At left is Edward Nicholas, Hurd's New Mexico neighbor, who arranged the showing in Columbus Ohio. (CSU_2015_11_1230)
