The Benjamin Franklin and his son William
The Benjamin Franklin and his son William Franklin experiment with lightning and electricity in 1852. The kite had a conductive wire attached to its top. It collected electricity from the air in a thunder cloud, which was conducted down the wet kite string to the ground. This experiment was proposed by Franklin and he may have conducted it.
