Charlie Pyle was a sports promoter in the 1920s. He represented football star Red Grange and in 1926 organized the first professional tennis tour for French champion Suzanne Lenglen. In 1928 he organized the Bunion Derby, a 3455-mile-long foot race from California to New York. (BSLOC_2015_17_152)
