In Tianjin (Tientsin), during the Boxer Rebellion, they were sheltered during the fighting, as Christians were vulnerable to attacks by anti-foreign Boxers. The 1963 movie, 55 DAYS AT PEKING, was based on the war (BSLOC_2017_20_3)
