Commissioning of the USS Los Angeles Bolling Field, Washington, D.C. Nov. 25, 1924. The experimental airship was used to develop the American parasite fighter program, and was decommissioned in 1932. Parasite fighters would be lifted by the dirigible and released near their targets (BSLOC_2016_10_170)
