Confederate General, John Hunt Morgan, c. 1864. Called the ~Thunderbolt of the Confederacy, Morgan conducted guerilla warfare in the Border States and upper south during US Civil War. He raided behind Union lines, disrupting railroad and telegraph operations, stealing supplies, and taking prisoners. He died in action in 1864, during a raid on Greeneville, Tennessee
