Corporal Michael Dunn of Co. H, 46th Pennsylvania
Corporal Michael Dunn of Co. H, 46th Pennsylvania Infantry Regiment, lost both of his legs in battle near Dallas, Georgia, on May 25, 1864. He wrote of his medical treatment through five operations that left him with 9 inch stumps. He was awarded a pension of $50 per month. Though it all, his sweetheart Sarah became his wife, and they welcomed the first of their six children in June 1867
