Cynthia Ann Parker, nursing her daughter, Topasannah (Prairie Flower). She assimilated into the Comanche band who kidnapped her in 1836 at age nine. In 1860 she was taken into custody in a Texas Ranchers raid on her Comanche camp where she lived with her family: husband, war chief Peta Nocona, and three children, her baby daughter, and two sons named Quanah, and Pecos (Pecan). The 1956 movie THE SEARCHERS was based on her life. It was directed by John Ford and starred John Wayne, Natalie Wood and her younger sister, Lana Wood
