David Hill, leader of the House of Israel cult in court. Cleveland, Ohio. Oct. 1969. In 1971 Hill skipped bail. Disappeared and reemerged in Guyana in January 1972 as Rabbi Edward Washington. Hill established ties to Afro-Guyanese President Forbes Burnham, enlarged his cult and was accused of acting as the regime's violent enforcer. (CSU_2015_9_970)
