Dead American soldiers laid out in the churchyard at Kilchoman, Islay, Scotland during WW1. They were aboard the troopship, SS OTRANTO, which broke up and sunk after a collision during a storm on Oct. 6, 1918, killing 470 including its British crew of 96 and 357 US soldiers (BSLOC_2017_17_114)
