Diver Frank Blair retrieved Nathan Leopold's typewriter in a lagoon in Jackson Park, Chicago. June 8, 1924. District Attorney Crowe and investigators with the Underwood 3 portable typewriter on which murder suspect Nathan Leopold typed the ransom note to Jacob Franks. When finished he wrenched off the keys in an effort to halt identification, as Richard Loeb had stated in his confession. (CSU_2015_8_650)
